Welcome to RMR Costs Lawyers

RMR Legal is a division of RP Cost Consultants Ltd.

Mr. Fred Robbins first established a costing firm over 30 year ago; he developed and expanded the business on results and professional recommendations. The Company traded for many years as The Robbins Partnership. In July 2003 Ms. Angela McCombe Russell became the Co-Director and in July 2009 a decision was made to change the trading name to RMR Legal (Robbins McCombe Russell) to give efficacy to the business relationship between Fred and Angela.

Our costs team has the skill and expertise to cost, support and challenge bills from the Magistrates Court to the House of Lords. We also provide a full negotiation service for pre action and action costs. We are able to advise you in relation to funding and or additional liability issues including drafting of funding documentation and on any issues in relation to solicitor client matters.

We represent solicitors on a national basis and pride ourselves in our ability to address all issues in relation to costs, working to a high standard at all times. The costs team can argue all matters from a legal standpoint on an equal footing with Solicitors and Counsel.

In 2008 Fred and Angela became Costs Lawyers. They were amongst the first two groups of Costs Draftsmen to attend the Inns of Court School of Law course to gain Higher Rights of Audience and the Right to Conduct Litigation. As Costs Lawyers they are able to go on the Court record and also represent Litigants in Person.

The Company has been involved in many high profile, complex and confidential cases. We are experienced in all costs issues but particularly in dealing with complex clinical negligence, catastrophic injuries, Solicitor Client issues, Tribunal costs and costs in the Court of Protection.
